When brew ingredient suppliers, Cryer Malt, stopped by PL Perth a few weeks back, we grabbed some cool gear off em and brewed a specialty IPA. Check it out
The grain comes courtesy of German maltsters, Bestmalz, and its a pretty sturdy blend. We shot for an OG west coast chassis (which is a little beefier) hence the addition of Dark Wheat Malt.
On a hop front, experimental variety HBC 630 from Yakima Chief Hops packs a unique punch, while Aussie staple, Citra, plays a supporting role.
It pours golden with a creamy head. Expect aromas of stewed apricots and sweet currant. A full-bodied palate gifts more stone fruit, solid bitterness, and a hint of biscuit late.
